According to the Deadline report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his production company, Bhansali Productions, have closed deals with the agency WME (William Morris Endeavour) in Hollywood. Ben Affleck, Jessica Alba, Christian Bale, Kate Beckinsale and Matt Damon are just a few of the celebrities the firm represents.
The news followed quickly after the director tried to coordinate an international awards campaign for his latest film, Gangubai Kathiawadiwhich premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and became one of the most watched Indian movies on Netflix.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has had previous experience receiving international recognition. your movie Devdas, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Bhansali is currently developing Heeramandi, a historical drama series that she first announced last year, and it is the most popular project of his globally. The project got significant publicity when Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, recently visited Mumbai to meet with Bhansali.
