According to the Korean media portal Soompi, sisters on the road is a 2008 film about two sisters Myung Joo and Myung Eun, who have different looks, personalities, careers, and even parents. The film follows their road trip as they embark on a search for Myung Eun’s father. Newly released character posters capture the sisters’ contrasting charms, personalities, and backgrounds.
The poster shows Myung Joo (Gong Hyo Jin) sitting on the rocks by the ocean. The caption reads: “Do you not know forgiveness or reconciliation?” While Myung Eun (Shin Min Ah) looks for answers in her colorful character poster that reads, “Doesn’t my hurt heart count as hurt?”

According to the report, Gong Hyo Jin plays older sister Myung Joo, who runs a fish shop on Jeju Island and is a single mother of a daughter. Myung Joo clearly accepts all the difficulties that come his way and tries to be self-sufficient. Meanwhile, the younger sister, Myung Eun, has a deep resentment against her father for being so absent.
The digital remastering of sisters on the road will be re-released in theaters on September 22.
