Bollywood actors and star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are going the legal way after paparazzi illegally took photos of Alia at her residence. Ranbir called that situation ugly and said that anything could be happening in her house and this was totally out of line.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt take legal route against paparazzi for invasion of privacy: ‘It was totally unnecessary’
To the uninitiated, Alia Bhatt was quite furious when photographers clicked her photos inside her house. The actress took to her Instagram story to call out the publication for sharing the photos of her and even tagged the Mumbai police. Alia wrote: “Are you kidding? I was at home, having a perfectly normal afternoon, sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me. I looked up to see two men on the terrace of the neighboring building with a camera directly at me. In what world is it okay and allowed? This is a serious invasion of someone’s privacy. There’s a line you shouldn’t cross, and it’s safe to say all lines were crossed today.”
Gathering behind her and making the invasion of privacy their own, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor also shared their grievances. Now, Ranbir Kapoor has spoken out on the issue. In an interview with Miss Malini, Ranbir said: “It was an invasion of privacy. You can’t shoot inside my house and anything can be happening inside my house, that’s my house. It was totally out of place. We are looking at the correct legal ways to approach it. I don’t want to talk too much about it, but it was very ugly.”
He continued: “We respect the paparazzi. I think paparazzi are part of our world. It is a symbiotic relationship ‘they work with us, we work with them’. But things like this are something that puts your back against the wall and you feel very ashamed that someone would do something like that.
On the employment front, Alia Bhatt will make her next Hollywood debut with a heart of stone. She also has Karan Johar Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor currently stars in Your Jhoothi Main Mecca. Your next will be Animal launch in August 2023.
