Ms Chatterjee v. Norway, with Rani Mukerji, described the story of a mother who is deeply concerned after the Norwegian government took her two children away from her because she believed they were not growing up in a healthy environment. The movie did reasonably well in theaters and has now been released on the popular streaming platform, Netflix. Alongside Rani Mukerji, the film also featured Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta, and Jim Sarbh.
Rani Mukerji Star Ms Chatterjee vs Norway Will Be Streaming On THIS OTT Platform
The movie Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, starring Rani Mukerji, is inspired by the true story of an Indian couple whose children were taken away by the Norwegian child care system, Barnevernet, in 2011. The mother wrote an autobiography entitled ‘The Journey of a Mother’, which served basis for the film. The highly anticipated movie has now been released on the popular online streaming platform, Netflix. The news was shared by Netflix India on the Instagram page, along with a poster for the film and captioned: “A fearless mother, her unwavering love for her children and a relentless fight. Watch Rani Mukerji take the world by storm in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, now available on Netflix.”
For the inexperienced, the director of Ashima Chibber is inspired by the true-life story of Sagarika Chakraborty and her husband, whose children were kidnapped by Norwegian authorities in 2011. Previously, Rani had said: “I have given everything to bring La Sagarika’s overwhelming fight for her children to return to celluloid. I have seen how my mother, a Bengali mother, is fiercely protective of her children and I saw the same traits in Sagarika when I heard her life story. So two Bengali mothers have inspired me to play this role and I am very proud that it is resonating with people, especially mothers, all over India,” in a statement.
Produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment (Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani), Ms Chatterjee v. Norway It is running successfully in theaters around the world and continues to linger in people’s minds for its fascinating story and high-quality acting. Ms Chatterjee v. Norway it was released on March 17.
