After literally waiting for years, the official announcement of the third movie in the Hera Feri franchise happened last month. The film will see the return of the famous trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the roles of iconic characters Raju, Ghanshyam aka Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte respectively. Shetty has written a long note expressing her happiness on the green signal of the third film in the series, which is called Hera Feri 4.

In a LinkedIn blog post, the actor wrote: “So Hera Feri 3 it’s finally happening! I look forward to getting back on set with Pareshji and Akki (Akshay). Like all good things, this one took some time, but it’s a relief to finally have an answer to this question! Movies are such a big part of our culture, and yet not many understand what goes into making a movie. In addition to the creative challenges, the business model and the needs of the movie business make it as challenging as any.”
Explaining the process of making a movie, Shetty added: “But let’s just say that having a good script, a cast and a director is literally just the starting point. There is the financing of a film. They are usually studios or production houses, which invest their own capital. Their teams evaluate the feasibility of a project before deciding on the budget”.
Speaking about his own understanding of the complex process of making movies, Shetty concluded by saying, “33 years and 125 movies later, I don’t have it all figured out, but I’ll keep getting better.”
Noble, Hera Feri, the first film released in 2000 and directed by Priyadarshan. The sequel, titled Phir Hera Pheriit was directed by the late Neeraj Vora and was released in 2006. Hera Feri 4 It will be directed by Farhad Samji.
