According to the Korean media portal Soompi, on September 2, the actor took to Instagram to personally announce that he was engaged to be married. In addition to sharing a beautiful photo from his wedding photo shoot, Heo Dong Won shared, according to Soompi’s translation, “Hello, this is Heo Dong Won. Thank you for always encouraging me and for taking an interest in me.”
He continued, “I should have been the one to personally announce this good news first, before anyone else, so I’m sorry you had to find out about it through news reports. Since there is still a lot of time [until the wedding]I am a little cautious about making this announcement so soon, but would be happy if you would send us your warm interest and support.”
“My parents always worried that I would bring home another family’s precious daughter and make her suffer, but I have met someone who willingly signs up for that suffering,” she wrote. “I ask you to encourage both me, who will become the husband of a beautiful family, and my future bride, who will become the most precious friend of my life.”
The letter further stated, “As an actor who always gives his best on the film set with a sincere heart, I will work hard to bring you delight, happiness, and laughter through my acting, a job that I truly love. I will always try to approach you with positive energy, not forgetting my initial mindset since the beginning of my career.”
He concluded the letter by writing, “Finally, I pray that all of you are healthy and happy, and I will never forget my gratitude and thanks. [towards you all] how i live my life Thank you.”
