Hindi remakes of popular South Indian movies have now become a trend. In the first three months of 2023, Hindi cinema has already released two remakes, Shehzada and selfieand is set to make the third addition to the roster with Ajay Devgn’s starring bhola. In the midst of all this, a Tamil film, Ayothi starring M. Sasikumar, Preethi Asrani, Yashpal Sharma and Pugazh, is making a splash at the box office. While it has been barely two weeks since the film was released, reports of its Hindi and Telugu remakes are already making the rounds on the internet. Ajay Devgn is said to be spearheading the Hindi remake, while Venkatesh Daggubati will be spearheading the Telugu one.
Ajay Devgn And Venkatesh Daggubati To Headline Ayothi’s Hindi And Telugu Remake: Report
If a Free Press Journal report is anything to go by, then the Tamil blockbuster Ayothi will be titled Ayodhya for their Hindi and Telugu remakes with Ajay Devgn and Venkatesh Daggubati in their two versions respectively. The portal quoted a source as saying: “Ayothi it’s all set to be redone in Hindi with Ajay and with Venky Mama in Telugu. it seems that the Drishyam 2 The style is being repeated as Ajay was seen in his Hindi version and Venky Mama in his Telugu version,” adding that the new Hindi and Telugu versions will likely be released in June 2023.
The source continued, adding: “The title of Ayothi The Hindi and Telugu remake will be the same… Ayodhya. The background of the story is about love of religion, but it has a lot of melodramatic scenes.” The source concluded by saying, “The director of the Hindi version of Ayodhya It’s not finished yet.”
However, it is worth mentioning here that neither the creators of Ayothi nor have the aforementioned celebrities confirmed the news, as of now.
