Ankit Gupta, who rose to fame with his stint on Bigg Boss 16, is essaying the role of a guitarist named Jahaan on the show. The actor is also a music aficionado in real life and has been learning to play the guitar to give authenticity to the role he plays on the show and to justify Jahaan’s portrayal of him. Little did he know, however, that perfecting the role would come at a price, as the continuous strumming of the guitar has caused his fingers to swell. But Ankit is not one to back down from a challenge and continued to pursue his trade.
Speaking about the experience of learning an instrument, Ankit said, “I am learning the basics of guitar strumming so that I can do justice to the character of Jahaan, who is a passionate and aspiring singer. I’ve never really played an instrument in my life, and this is the second time I’ve held a guitar. It’s a new experience and I’ll keep practicing until the guitar feels like an extension of my body. Some hits require me to strum the guitar at a fast pace, leaving my fingers swollen and bruised. That’s okay because without pain there is no gain. These scenes are crucial, and I don’t want to spare any effort to look natural like Jahaan.” He continued, “I want to thank the audience for the love they showed on the show, and their support makes me feel like going the extra mile is worth it.”
