Against the backdrop of an Indian publisher, Disney+Hotstar aims to bring a love story, a journey with complex emotions to the masses. At the heart of it, Dear Ishq is the story of two completely opposite personalities, who go through this simple journey of life, unknowingly falling in love with each other. Starring Sehban Azim and Niyati Fatnani as the leads, the show features a modern twist on relationships and now joining the cast is Bigg Boss 16 contestant Sumbul Touqeer.
Bigg Boss 16 Contestant Sumbul Touqeer Enters Dear Ishq; the actress talks about her new role on the show
We have all witnessed the popularity of Sumbul Touqeer as the actress rose to the top in Bigg Boss 16. And the fans of the actress couldn’t be more excited about her next project. Fulfilling her wish, Sumbul Touqeer is set to appear in a unique avatar in Dear Ishq. She is essaying the role of a fun and cool influencer, planning to promote Rizwan’s (Kunal Verma) book and compete with Abhimanyu (Sehban Azim) in the ongoing Disney+ Hotstar web series.
Speaking about her special role, Sumbul Touqeer said, “I am a fan of fictional shows and this is my first appearance after Big Boss 16 where the audience will see me as an actor and not as myself. I am equally excited and nervous about the role. I want to give my best. Also, it’s challenging as the audience has gotten used to seeing me as a Sumbul and not an actor. I have worked with Atif sir before and I am very excited to be on his set. I feel very comfortable with him and I deeply respect and admire him. I met Niyati and she is very sweet and fun to be around. I look forward to the reactions from the audience and hope you enjoy seeing me in a different avatar.”
