Sohum Shah is currently receiving rave reviews for his performance as policeman Kailash Parghi in the recently released Amazon Prime Video web series Dahaad. The show, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles, has impressed viewers.

Shah is also a producer and is known for producing the iconic and acclaimed tumbbad. He also has an interesting upcoming movie as a producer. Share details exclusively with bollywood hungamaShah said: “I am producing a movie, which is very big. It is a period film set in 1918 and it is a love story. It is about a man who returns from the First World War. The Spanish flu spreads at that time. I am very excited for this movie. It is my dream project. It will start shooting.”

During the same conversation, Shah also revealed his plans to make tumbbad in a franchise. “We really want to do tumbbad 2 and 3”, he had said. “It is not being done at this time. It is being written. Five years have passed since tumbbad released. We’re trying, but we haven’t figured out an idea so far. We would definitely like to do tumbad 2. But we don’t want to do it just because the first movie did well. We should feel that the story is on the level of the first movie. It should do justice (to the first movie). When you receive so much love from people, it becomes your responsibility.”
