Upcoming drama from T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films ISR is all set to launch on September 15 of this year. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar, the film is the biopic of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film marks the return of southern actress Jyotika to Bollywood after a long hiatus.

Sharing more about Tushar Hiranandani’s directorial adventure, an official statement from the creators read: “Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, photographed by Pratham Mehta, ISR is a biopic of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who didn’t let his visual impairment get in the way of his vision and founded Bollant Industries.”
Talking about his enthusiasm to return ISRBhushan Kumar, head of T-Series, had previously said: “The story of Srikanth Bolla testifies to the very proverb of acting against the odds. Having faced so many challenges since his birth, letting nothing stand in the way of his dreams, his journey is truly inspiring. And indeed it is a privilege to be associated with a person like him. The personality of this character is such that only an actor of Rajkummar Rao’s caliber can justify it and we are happy to have such a great actor on board. Tushar Hiranandani’s vision to show this captivating story is very peculiar. As we are excited to make this film, we are just as excited for audiences to witness this fascinating story of Srikanth!”
Rajkummar was last seen at Vasan Bala’s Monica, oh my love, which also starred Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte and Sikandar Kher. She later made a cameo in the film starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Bhediya. She reprized her character Vicky from Street in comedy horror.
