Mumbai police have stepped up security for Bollywood actor Salman Khan after one of his associates received threatening emails. While security was increased, a case was registered at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and a person named Rohit Garg under IPC sections 506(2), 120(b) and 34 . Now, police officials have reported that fans will not be allowed to gather outside his residence in Mumbai after the threat.

According to a PTI report, a police official said that “two officers with the rank of Assistant Police Inspector (API) and between eight and 10 officers will form part of Khan’s 24-hour security team.” The official also added that fans will not be allowed to gather outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. It was previously reported that the police provided Y-plus security to Salman Khan. He will also travel in an armored car with his own personal security equipment. The actor has also been given additional security measures.
A person named Rohit Garg reportedly issued the threat and mentioned Goldy Brar, the Canadian gangster’s name, saying the latter wants to meet the actor in person. Recently, Lawrence Bishnoi also reportedly said that killing Salman is his life’s goal.
In a recent report shared by ABP News, Bishnoi was quoted as saying, “There is anger in our society over Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him, but he did not apologize. If you don’t offer an apology, be prepared to face the consequences. I won’t depend on anyone else.” He went on to add that he has been harboring the feeling of hate since childhood. Bishnoi continued, “It will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to the temple of our deity and apologize. If our society forgives, then I won’t say anything.”
