Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going through a lot these days, from her upcoming projects to her health. For those who don’t know about her, the actress revealed late last year about her battle with myositis. If this wasn’t enough, she just went through a little more pain. Samantha recently got injured on the sets of her upcoming Citadel project of hers.

His character in the Amazon Prime Video show requires him to do a lot of action sequences and stunts. While she was filming one of those scenes today, Samantha hurt her hands. She shared a photo of her condition on her Instagram story and wrote, “Benefits of action.”
Citadel is the Indian version of the Russo brothers’ international action show of the same name and on the same platform. You will see Samantha teaming up with Varun Dhawan in the latter’s first web series. The Indian version is directed by Raj and DK, who previously worked with Samantha on the second season of her celebrated show The Family Man. The directing duo are currently enjoying rave reviews for their latest web show Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna and Amol Palekar.
The international version of Citadel stars Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra and Stanley Tucci. The first look at the show came out yesterday.
Sharing her excitement about joining the show, Samantha recently said: “When Prime Video and Raj & DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it’s a homecoming for me. The Citadel universe, the interconnected stories between the productions around the world, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really moved me. I am delighted to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualized by AGBO of the Russo brothers. I am also looking forward to working with Varun for the first time on this project. He is someone who is full of life and joy when you are around him.”
