Recent reports suggest that a Mumbai resident who invested in a property in Lucknow filed an FIR against Gauri Khan. The co-founder of Red Chillies Entertainment and owner of Gauri Khan Designs is also the brand ambassador for real estate developers Tulsiani Group. Such a complaint has been registered against Khan along with Anil Tulsiani, the CEO, as well as Mahesh Tulsiani, the director of the company.

The complainant, Kirit Jaswant Shah, alleged that he had purchased a property in the Tulsiani Group building, worth Rs. 86 lakhs, of which he has not yet received possession. Although the complaint against the heads of the company was for the delay, Gauri Khan, being the ambassador of the brand, has been accused of breach of trust. The complaint against Khan has been filed under section 409 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the Times of India report, the FIR registered by Shah read: “I visited the company’s office at Sushant Golf City the same year, met its directors and agreed to buy a flat worth Rs 86 lakh. I was assured that I would obtain possession of the apartment in 2016. But since then a long time has passed and I have not gotten the apartment. Later, I found out that the contract for the apartment reserved by me had been transferred by the company to another person.” In the said report, Shah also alleged that he decided to invest and brought the property from Lucknow after Gauri was attached as his brand.
