In early April, before the release of Salman Khan’s leading man Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, bollywood hungama was the first to report that Salman was in talks with filmmaker Karan Johar for a thrilling adventure that would hit screens in 2024 on Eid. Briefing us on the development, a well-placed industry source said that Salman was looking at scripts but he had shown great interest in one from Dharma Productions.

While, details were kept under wraps at the time, word came out that the film in question would be a big-budget performer that would do justice to Salman Khan and his special Eid release. Well, now we hear that Salman and Karan have made some headway on the project. A source told Bollywood Hungama: “Talks between the two have been going on for a while; in fact, the latest update is that shershaah Apparently director Vishnu Vardhan has made up his mind to helm the project. Although the proverbial dotted line has yet to be signed between all stakeholders, progress has been steady.” Ask for details about the film and the source continues: “The film will see Salman Khan and Karan Johar unite after a gap of 25 years, although there were reports that the actor had signed for Shuddhi, the venture never panned out. Given this fact, and of course the fact that the company would launch on Eid, the creators will surely go to great lengths to ensure its greatness.”
Speaking further about the venture and its eventual release, the source continues: “Eid has now become synonymous with the release of a Salman Khan film. It has become a kind of ritual. This film is scheduled to be released on Eid 2024. And to ensure its great appeal and entertainment value, who better than Vishnu Vardhan, who has not only directed shershaah but in the past it has given us some pretty entertaining movies in the southern industry.”
While Salman Khan is currently enjoying the success of his recent release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the next venture with Karan is said to still be in the early stages of development. Interestingly, apart from this adventure, Salman will also be seen later this year in the YRF spy universe movie. tiger 3which is directed by Maneesh Sharma.
