In December 2021, we saw the release of the protagonist Allu Arjun – Rashmika Mandana Pushpa: The Rise. The film that also had the special number ‘Oo Antava’ with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, as well as the viral tracks ‘Saami Saami’ and ‘srivalli’ it was well received by the public. In fact, the multilingual box office success of the film surprised everyone, including the creators of the film. Now, seeking to surpass the success of Pushpa: The Risethe filmmakers have been busy working on the sequel to the film titled Pushpa 2: The rule. Unsurprisingly, the sequel is said to have been staged on a larger scale and will feature even more of Allu Arjun’s charm. However, while the film is still a long way from being released, we hear that mega-production house and music giant T-Series has weighed in. If what we hear is true, T-Series has apparently acquired the world language music rights to the film, as well as the Hindi satellite TV rights from Pushpa 2: The rule for a whopping Rs. 60 cr.
T-Series Acquires World Language Music Rights And Hindi Satellite TV Rights Of Allu Arjun Lead, Pushpa 2: The Rule For Rs. 60 cr
“Pushpa: The Rise It was all the rage, from the movie that rattled the box office window, to the music in the movie that also trended on social media and the charts, it was a total hit. With pushpa 2: The rule we can expect more of these factors that attracted the audience”, reveals a well-placed industry source when talking about the film. While sharing details of the film, the source further revealed the involvement of T-Series saying, “T-Series has already stepped in and acquired the world music and Hindi satellite TV rights of the sequel. It essentially means that T-Series will now own the rights to all the songs on Pushpa 2: The rule It doesn’t matter what language they’re dubbed in.” Also, when asked about the revenue the mega production house shelled out for the same, the source continues, “T-Series has shelled out between Rs. 50-60 cr to acquire world language music rights and Hindi satellite TV rights to the film.” Ask if this staggering amount was a fair price, and the source continues: “Not surprising, especially since the first movie did so well in all languages, the second one is bound to be bigger and better. So, speaking of fair pricing, T-Series has struck a pretty profitable deal with Pushpa 2: The rule which includes world language music rights and Hindi satellite television rights for said amount.”
Although currently, an official announcement of the acquisition is expected. Pushpa 2: The rule will take the story of Allu Arjun’s character in Pushpa: The Rise further. Written and directed by Sukumar, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, pusher 2 stars Allu Arjun as the titular character alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie is gearing up to hit theaters at the end of December this year.
